Question Coloring Drylok coated foam rock question

I'm about to do my first build and that includes some carved XPS foam rocks coated in Drylok (which I've never used in my life for anything). After completely sealing the foam with several coats of plain ol' Drylok, I intend to start coating with Drylok tinted with acrylic paint as so many have done before me with great results.

The questions I'd like to nail down are concerning the use of acrylic paints in this way in regards to frog health. What sort of ratios can I get away with? Can I mix 50:50 (Drylok : paint)? I'm assuming we mix the paint in with the Drylok (as opposed to straight up paint) to provide something more durable than just paint, and eliminate any concern of paint particles coming off & contaminating the vivarium, right? Is my thinking on the right track?

I know I can achieve fantastic looking, highly detailed rocks, if I can just go ahead & paint freely (lots of THIN washes) with acrylics, but I have concerns about frog safety using this method unless I seal it all afterwards (totally not interested- I'm using Drylok for this reason) which would spoil the effect. Sooo... this leads to my next question:

Once I have mixed up the hue I'm looking for (with whatever paint : Drylok ratio that may be), can I thin it further with water into a watery-thin wash?

I am also considering the use of powdered charcoal as a pigment. Has anyone tried this?
