Default Screen mesh problems...

How does everyone attach the screen mesh to your false bottom? I cant think of any idea that is completely feasible for what I'm trying to do....

i used silicon then siliconed it on the sides to the glass, but i didnt use screen i used the weed barrier cloth material like you use in the yard. it works pretty good and it keeps more of the dirt in the tank from falling thru.

Cut it bigger than the the false bottom so the screen comes up the sides of the tank just below the desired depth of your substrate. Fill with substrate and it'll stay there.

Second that...weed barrier cloth material is way better than screen mesh.

Does anybody have a link to the weed barrier cloth? Does Lowes sell it? I can't seem to find it on their website.

Lowes definately sells it,it's in the garden center and half the stuff out there never can be found on the site, I think it is like $15 for a 50' roll or something

I use mesh, and just double layer it, but i also have a gigantic roll down in my laundry room that was here when we bought this house, so it was free and Im a firm believer in using what you have...

Well this is how I do mine. Tied with nylon coated stainless, a bit tedious but I try to avoid using
too much chemical (GS/Silicone) + it's cheap.
