Are the exo terra lights worth buying?

Exo Terra Dual Top Canopy and the

Whats the difference?

Besides the bulbs probably not much. Although the tubes bulb canopy does look a little slimmer.

i bet the 1 with the compact bulbs gets alot hotter. however ive tried neither so i dont know :roll:

hmmmm... I really like the look of it. Makes the tank look clean and neat...and alot cheaper than buying a canopy top...but will it do justice for broms.. with the sunglow bulbs from exo? :?:

Not sure about the exo bulbs but I have the 3 bulb exo hood and I use the 6500 k 26 watt bulbs from walmart and they work great.

I think I read on the box of the exo hoods that you can ONLY use a certain wattage/bulb... :/ is it ok to use the 26watt's in there?

gawd the exo bulbs are like $12 a pop and i would LOVE to save on bulbs!! soo $$ :|

I'm not sure about the wattage for the exo canopy,,, but I use the 6$ daylight compact fluorescents from home depot, work great, think they are 26watts, the exo bulbs here are about 30+$, so its a lot cheaper that route.
