Default Plants appropriate for a cooler tank?

I'm in the process of designing a 25 high (plenty of room, no worries.. this was more of a test so I could learn the ins and outs of plants) tank for newts; thing is, they need cooler temps than frogs do. What sorts of plants will tolerate ~70F that would be appropriate for mounting against the back wall? I've got a variety of ferns/mosses for the ground, just need something to fill my GS/CCF backdrop.

I think most common terrarium plants will do ok as long as they are above 50. Probably just won't grow as fast.

Also, I had been using greatstuff but ran out; is space invader a valid alternative, or is it unsafe?

~70F is still considered within the warm to intermediate range for orchids. I'd say that's within the ideal range for most tropical plants. Plants in stagnant vivaria can start experiencing photoinhibition at the temps climb into the upper 80s and higher.
