Default looking for fine screen ff proof...

i just bought a roll of regular screen from the HD but it looks like the mesh would easily let flies through, its the finest they had i did search for some all over this forum everybody said hd or loews im sure its fine for the eggcrate cover so i do need it for my next tank anyways.Maybe this stuff is fine for the top of the 29 i have, hopefully they get munched before they make it to the very top....anybody ever find anything at a craft store at all just curious thanks

chuckdpe1,
If you are looking for screen to keep FF in then you could look at REI or other outdoor sport stores for No see um mesh or mosquito netting. That will keep flies from getting through, but is not good if you have crickets that have access to it. Crickets can and will eat thru it. It will also work for a layer between eggcrate and substrate. Hope that helps.

If you want something more heavy duty than the no-seum mesh, you can get any size stainless screen from Mcmaster.

If I remember correctly, I ordered 32x32 (wire count per inch) last time.

Works great, and no worries about anything poking through.
