Default HELP!! One endcap not working!!

So I got my 2x55 watt CP kit from AH supply. I got everything hooked up, plugged it in and one endcap will not work!! I switched the bulbs, cut and stripped another section of wire and NOTHING!!

I will attach pictures of the wiring. I did them exactly the same so I can't figure out whats wrong. Please advise if you can!

Sorry I have to post links, for some reason I can't get the IMG codes to work, even if I copy directly from Photo bucket. Not having fun right now...

I know what I would do, but I hesitate to recommend it...

Well for starters,
I believe you are using the wiring diagram "9 for Workhorse 5" from the fulham web site, although maybe your kit didn't come with it.

It shows using only one red wire per bulb rather than 2, with the extra red wires being capped off. But honestly I'm not convinced that is the problem... you could try though.

What I hesitate to suggest is that you test where the problem is by eliminating the end cap; just hold the wires to the lamp pins and see if that fires the lamp. If that works, the problem lies in the endcap. It's pretty safe if you are careful, pretty dangerous if you are not careful.

Or maybe an actual electrician will chime in. :?

If I remember right it looks like you have it wired up right per AH 's directions . If you have an ohm meter you could check if one or more of the wires isn't making a connection to the plug in the end cap wire harness .

Or just switch both endcap wire harnesses to the opposite wires on the ballast to see if its a bad end cap wire harness or a bad ballast . Also make sure there is not any excess plastic covering the metal connectors in the end of the cap . Sometimes they don't clean the excess plastic out of the metal connectors .

Both lights do work on the one endcap that does light right ?

Thanks for your help guys......

I switched the endcap wires around and it looks like I have a bad endcap. I am not brave enough to play with live wires, so hopefully I can get a new endcap without much trouble from AH supply.

Arrgh- I really wanted to get everything hooked up and now I have to wait for a new endcap!

OH- Mark,

How did you get my pics to work?
