Default Simple question, "Best way to gut a tank?"

Well, my first vivarium, although I am happy with it, I am also unhappy with it, with it hard to reach into it, and a little "cluttered looking, (poor initial set up) I am going to gut it and try again, this time, hopefully with success. I feel that the plants are poorly positions and I could overall just do better.

So best way to gut a 15 gallon long vertical tank is to...?

Get to hacking with a kitchen knife, then use a razor blade to scrape out all you can. Scrub with a Mr Clean magic eraser (kind w/o chemicals), then fill up with water, add some bleach to sterilize, wash out thoroughly, dry, and start anew.

It can really be a pain and with smaller tanks sometimes not even worth it. Its up to you, but I had success with a screw driver, but you have to be careful with the smaller tanks as they use thin glass. After the bulk of it is gone you can use a razer blade glass scraper to get the rest. Again being careful and watching to not ruin a seal at the corners.
