Default Rhino glue

I want to attach glass to aluminum and foundthis site "Rhino glue"while googling .
I am planning to send an email to them to see if their glue works for my application
(ie frogs/plants safe), but wondering if anybody has experience with this product ?
I remember reading that alum and epoxy don't stick well, hope this is the solution
to my project

I've used Gorilla glue. Not for vivs but to build a bookcase, well something looks like that.
Didn't know it works with aluminum (there aren't many attach strong to aluminum I can find) I will def give a try.

Gorilla Glue does kick out some foamy stuff while it does it's thing and that gets hard. Probably not the best choice then for the clean/clear finish you want.

Got a picture of the joint you want to make? That will help in determining what kind of strength you need. I've had pretty good success with Silicone I for joining glass to aluminum.

My curent vivs are all top opening for maintenance and feeding, but I want new ones to be side opening for convenience. My bro-in-law gave me bunch of aluminum piano hinges, so I want to attach appr 12" x 18" glass (3/16" thickness) to it to make sidedoors.

So I'm looking for the strongest glue that endure daily open/close action for long time

Thanks

I was checking out some other construction journals this weekend and found one that was made by hand from start to finish.
Regular Aquarium silicone was used to attach a hinge to the glass.
Check it out HERE

Smogre,

Thanks for a link. I believe s/he is using an acrylic hinge, not aluminum.
While I was googling how to attach aluminum, I ended up a forum that people are discussing how to build model airplanes. Seems they use aluminum often and describe it as not bonding friendly material as regular epoxy does not do good job to attach them. They seem to go for welding but it's not an option for me since I want to attach it to glass ....
