Default New Terrarium

I have 2 D. Azureus dart frogs. They are both doing fine and may be a pair but, I want to get a sexed pair to breed them. But as I posted in my other topic, I need a new cage and I don't have the money for a glass one. So I wanted to make one out of fiberglass. Does anyone know how to do that? I also need to know how to hold water in a spot without using a dish for a waterfall. And does anyone know how to make a homemade misting system?

What size are you looking to buy/build?

One pair. Azureus can be very agressive toward each other. I would only consider doing more frogs in a very large tank, like around 75 gallons.

I think that fiberglass gets more affordable the larger the vivarium is. If money is an issue, get a 20H, the most it'll cost you is $40.

check around at garage sales or craigslist.com. There are a lot of deals out there.

I agree - a 20H would be an excellent choice.

If you want to build a viv - call around to glass shops in your area. You don't need the glass to be very thick - 3/16" would work well. Just do some pricing - I bet you could build one even if you are on a budget.

I just built one out of plywood and glass then sealed it with fiberglass resin. Worked like a champ.

Wouldn't the plywood warp from the humidity? And what type of bonding material would you say I use for plexiglass? And does anyone know how to hod water in a spot without a bowl and without it spreading throughout the entire vivarium?
