Default "touching up" GS/coco background???

OK, for the first time I was slightly discouraged during my viv build. There are many white spots showing through. What is the best method to patch the background?
I was going to simply dab silicone over the spots and reapply, but I thought maybe someone had some ingenius plan for doing this.

Just slap some more silicone over the needed areas and make sure to press down (firmly) whatever you are using (eco earth, peat moss, or whatever) Hope that helps

^What he said. Use plenty of silicone, and plenty of dirt.

Yeah, I used plenty of dirt, but must have spread the silicone a little thin. I touched up the spots, and finished my water feature tonight, so hopefully I'll have some pics in the log tomorrow.

I used black, so it doesn't look too bad when a litle silicone shows through, it's the places I didn't cover the GS enough that look bad.
