Default GE II silcon now has bio seal is it still ok to use???

I have used ge number 2 windows and doors in the past. How ever i just went to the store to buy some and noticed that now they have BioSeal which is Mold & mildew Protection.

please let me know if it is still ok to use. if it isn't what should i use instead and wear can i find it.

people have been using it and haven't heard any problems. i think someone even called GE about it and found out it was more of a marketing thing.

we accidently put some in a few of our vivs. we havent had any troubles so far.

i hope its safe because the Lowes and Home Depots around here are switching over to it. there is NONE left without bioseal.

ya i wanted black and all that has been switched out to bio seal they still have some white that isn't so i picked up 10 bottles just in case i need it in the future if this bio seal causes problems

I've had a viv setup with Bioseal for 4 mos. now and the frogs are fine.

I'm assuming the dap brand is okay as well? it has a seal similar to the bioseal of ge's silicon. I bought the dap because it was cheaper.

DAP is great. I use it in most of my tanks. If it is the 100% Silicone DAP (which is the one you should use), it will even say "Food Safe" on the back . . . which is more than I can say for the GE silicones that I have seen.
