Wanted: Lygodactylus williamsi
Greetings all,
I'm looking for blue geckos. Specifically a female to pair up with my male or maybe a trio or ???
I've seen them for sale pretty cheap on some other boards ($45-60) but have never purchased from any of those dealers. So, If you have some available, or could recommend a reliable source from the other boards, please let me know.
Thanks,
John

I don't have any, but if you find a good dealer, could you let me know? I am also looking for a pair of them. Thanks!

Re: Wanted: Lygodactylus williamsi
i have 2 trios and several eggs, but no babies yet. Try Dan Scolaro (DTS) on kingsnake, he usually has some and they are very nice and healthy. Very good price too, but they are WC.
Good luck, they are great little geckos!

Re: Wanted: Lygodactylus williamsi
Congrats on breeding them, that's great. However, I would like to pair up the guy I have so I'm working on a deal for some imported adults. Thanks for the offer jpg.
If anyone can send me some info on how to set them up well enough to induce breeding that would be greatly appreciated.
John

Re: Wanted: Lygodactylus williamsi
NP tiki , You can keep them similar to phelsuma geckos . They like a little humidity , live plants and plenty of bamboo for laying eggs . There very prolific so I highly doubt you'll have a hard time breeding them . I feed mine hydei , sm crickets , sm waxworms , baby food (fruit), yogurt (fruit) , bean beetles , and they catch the occational hatchling before I do .
You can cut the bamboo at the sections so you can remove them for incubation , or put in construction or newspaper cut to size rolled up and inserted into the bamboo also . I use 2.0 and 5.0 exo CF bulbs on them with no additional heat , but they sure wont mind a heat pad or light !
Also the male will breed the female constantly so you may have to remove him or add a second female so he doesnt breed her to death .

Re: Wanted: Lygodactylus williamsi
Thanks for the info,
I have my male set up pretty much how you'd described in an 18 tall. Mine didn't like yogurt though, I'll try the baby food. How large of a tank are you using for how many gex? I'm glad to hear they are breeding well so they can hopefully be established in the hobby. They are incredibly beautiful. I have a deal to get 1.4 next week from a dealer in Florida. I'll let you know how it goes.

Mine are in a 10g tall . Its just a pair in there . I will eventually move them back to the 26g tall I have as soon as I get the front pane replaced .

Re: Wanted: Lygodactylus williamsi
Hmm, I wonder why some have no interest in baby food/yogurt and some, like my male, will go for that over FF's or crickets. He'll eat so much that he looks pregnant!
