I wondered. The blue almost looked luminescent.

it looks to me more that a flash was used to take the picture thus illuminating the pupil and causing the "blue" refraction of light from moisture on the rock. I think it is completely possible that this frog actually looks like that. But who knows. None of us took the picture

To the "elite" 007 frogers on here, do you have any suggestions or knowledge of books that deal with these rare species specifically O. histrionicus, O. lehmanni ,studies, journals with pictures info of various locals etc?

I looked at a fantastic book over the weekend that had more histo morphs than i would ever know what to do with. Was QUITE interesting. these blue and light mocha colored ones are my favorite. here are the books

Ill legally have them someday. I can wait. I dont need any ninja sneaky auratus! Been there, and see all my thumbnails a lot more!

hahah thanks for the laugh... yeah everyone asks "whats in that tank?" i respond "2 auratus... i think.... i hear them sometimes, but havent seen one in a month or so, but the flies seem to disapear, so i just assume they are in there and ok???"
