Default Escudo froglet diet schedule

Just wondering if I could get a couple ballpark ideas, from anyone has had some experience with Escudo froglets, as to about how long they typically feed exclusively on springtails. I've raised pumilio froglets in the past and they usually accepted wingless melanogaster after about one-two months, but they were also much larger. These froglets look like they could take springs as a primary food for months by comparison. That leads me to another question, as these are my first Escudo offspring from this pair, is the froglet (located on page two of the thread below) normal for Escudo? The adults are smaller than other pumilio I've kept, but the froglets seem a little small to me.

Recent Tank Photos (photo on page two - I can't post pics at work...)

Thanks,
Mike

Mike,

Mine are in a 10 gallon with a supersoil substrate. There are some springtails and common striped isopods in the tank. Mostly we feed pum tanks with wingless ffs, especially as the cultures age the flies get smaller and smaller, many of the newly morphed froglets can tackle these. They will also go after fungus gnats.

We don't really feed springtails on any schedule, maybe every few months the tanks will get some to bolster the resident population. Ideally adding springs every feeding would be the best way to feed the froglets but it's not impossible to raise them up with mostly ffs.

Good luck with yours
Eric

Eric, do you pull yours from the parent tank?
