Default (dos) tres colores

A couple of E. tricolor (what has usually been referred to as "Moraspungo" but I think might more properly be called "ABG"). Female in the foreground, and one of the males in the background trying to get her attention.

Very nice!

Why do you think they would be more properly called "ABG" as in the ABG or something else?

There was a time (back in the 90s, if I recall) when some tricolor came in for a few months...most likely Moraspungo. But at the same time at ABG there were several types of tricolor in the greenhouses that were released. It's possible that some crossover could have happened between types if some frogs were able to make it into other areas with other frogs...hard to know. These are old stories, so details can be vague.

To be safe, however I think they would best just be kept as "ABG" frogs so they aren't mixed with some of the actual tricolor that came in and can be traced back separately. They don't have to be given that title, obviously, as long as people know the lineage of their frogs and where they trace back to.
