Default My mini viv and juvi azureus.

Here's my mini-viv I constructed... yesterday. Not to intricate. I plan on adding some gravel and an amazonian swordtail(?) to the water feature, and some sort of plant that will cover the white mesh. There's my little buddy too, who escaped death (see beginner forum, "6th sense")

Thanks. I'm going to be building another viv from a 40 gallon tank, eventually, once I have some spare cash.

What size is it? It looks functional enough. I like the Amazon sward idea. They grow beautifully above water. Pick one of the sword leafed ones though as the round leafed ones can grow quite large. Try java moss to cover the mesh. If you have some water in the low area the Java moss will be very happy. I like your frog as well. D. azures are really nice looking. They are on my want list. If you have trouble finding a good quantity of Java moss pm me and I’ll try to get you some.

Thanks. It's a 15 or 20 tall, dunno, I've had it for quite some time. And... I've had bad experiences with java moss... it's killed SO many of my fish in the past... it's the reason I don't keep fish anymore.

How did java moss kill your fish?

by the looks of the dead fish, they had gotten tangled it in. I was breeding mollies, and the pet store reccomended I put it in there for the fry to hide in. The adults just kind of... got caught in it.
