Default 29g viv finally completed

I just completed about 95% of this viv. I'm thinking of planting some creeping fig to cover the entire back wall, and I will be covering the substrate with magnolia leaves when they arrive this week. I also have a 1x55 setup coming this week as well. I plan on putting 4 leucs in this thing in about a month or so. The viv looks dry now because I wanted to get a good pic before I give it a good misting. What do you think? Any suggestions?

I would say its a nice start. I like the big log with plants growing off of it. I would say you need alot more foliage. Get some bromeliads and plant some of them on the back wall as well. And put some on the ground. I would say you just need some more cover for the frogs and it should be great.

Good luck!

I agree almost completely with the above statement, except instead of broms in the ground, get some ferns or other tropical plants, dont want pure broms. Also Be careful about those tillandsias, they rot so quickly.

All in all amazing viv.

Thanks for the suggestions/compliments, guys. I agree the tank looks pretty bare right now. I forgot to mention that I plan on planting some Ficus pumilia cuttings along the back wall, and the tree fern panels have been filled with supersoil. Also, I have a small Oxalis 'Silver & Gold' in the bottom left corner with a Peperomia 'Watermelon' behind it. The plant under the ghost wood is a Selaginella 'Plana', and there is an Alocasia 'Polly' in the back. The leaf died on me and it was suggested that I try to plant the roots anyway and see if anything comes from that. So all that's there now is a little brown stump. There is also some Java moss in various locations as I'm hoping to kickstart some moss growth on the ghost wood. The ground will be covered with magnolia leaves when they come in later this week. Do you still think I should add more plants?

I'm well aware of how sensitive Tillandsias are to moisture, which is why I planted them near the light and will be misting them lightly. Hopefully it works out.

Thanks again.

Ficus pumila will help the background. I would suggest some broms attached to the background, probably broms that are the same as what you have in there. This will give the leucs some more climbing room and make more use out of the tank. Definately add something to the ground to liven it up a bit.

I agree with everyone else on liking the wood. It looks really good and with a few more plants on the ground its gonna look even better.

Okay, I think I'll be adding a few broms to the background. I can't decide what sort of tropical plant to put on the left side. I'm thinking of either a fern like Rabbit's Foot or Korean Rock Fern, or maybe a couple of Jewel Orchids (Lusidia discolor), or should I just pick up something from the local plant nursery?

You should be able to find all threee of those at the local nursery or home depot. Beware of the rabbits foot it spreads like crazy.
