I have a frog wall!
So courtesy of Petco's 1$ a gal sale, I bought a 40B I've been eyeing for awhile. and between my 20L, my 12" Cube, and my other 40B (w/ bearded dragon) I needed to consolidate space.
So I was at lowes buying some plants. and saw this nice industrial type shelving unit, that had a solid front vs showing the holes. each shelf is rated at 1000lbs, w/ particle board shelves that have a black gloss over them. VERY nice looking shelf. 88$ sticker price, little steep from what I wanted but at 70"x24"x48" I couldn't resist.
Installation was very straight fwd, the "L" joints that make the outside frame weren't exactly "L" shaped but once everything's in, its not an issue. My only grip is w/ the 40B on the bottom I loose a whole shelf (Might have to figure what to do about that) I'm very impressed and I don't really notice that much of a flex in the Shelves from the weight. I have the 20L next to my Cube sitting pretty much in the middle and there's maybe 1/8" of warping at the lowest point. Thinking could be reinforced by a simple metal brace in the middle or plywood, but the shelves look nice and atm I don't see a need to do so.
here are pictures from my iphone, the lights kinda washed it out.. but you get the idea.. needless to say I had to totally re-arrange my office as I had two bookshelves and a desk on that wall.
