Thanks ,

Gary , I'm trying to . I've been trying to find a male for my female . I just hope this one works out .
I had an all blue male since they first came in from SNDF and couldn't find a female for him till last fall . He was constantly calling and they finally laid a clutch of eggs (bad) . Then the male died .
Now I have to start again and find a male for the female .

Are the blue escudo from the same interbreeding population as red escudo in the wild ?

Tim , No , not Guarumo .
These pumilio came in from SNDF in 2006 with no site data so we don't know where they are from or what to call them , So "06 import " . The supposed "guarumo's came in in fall "07" ? From some one else . And look different enough to say they are from different areas .
The Guarumo's have brownish colored markings compared to black on the "06"imports . And the Guarumo's seem a little smaller too ( at least mine are ) .

Guarumo

Mike , I think I read somewere that there is a blue population on one part of the island and a red population elsewere and where they meet there is a red-blue mixing of them ?

On a good note I just heard calling from the Escudo tank but I wasn't able to see which of the two probable culprits it was . So Pair . 1.1.1

Congrats on the pair Mark! Escudos are awesome frogs - are they being kept in one of the 8 verts on the left hand rack?
