Smile Lets see your Reticulatus and Variabilis Pics!

Hi guys and gals, I'm pretty new to the site and do not have any of my own frogs.... yet. I've really sparked an interest in these 2 and would love to see what some of yours look like. Plus it would be cool to have a thread all to them. (I used the search thing and didn't see one)

So lets see some of those pics! Thanks!

If you are debating on which frog you would like to get--> the variabilis is easier to find and easier to care for.

I have been trying without success to find retics for the last 6-8 months

No, I'm not really trying to decide, they are just my personal favorite looking frogs. I know they can be hard to find.

I'm sure you've seen the other thread "The Auratus Appreciation Thread" I guess I am just trying to get a thread dedicated to the Reticulatus and Variabilis frogs They are just simply... beautiful.

And to Sports Doc:

I'm simply just trying to start a thread for these 2 frogs. Did you go and tell the other person to look it up better when they posted the "Auratus Appreciation Thread" and give them past links? What's so wrong with me wanting some updated photos (not some past links) and starting a thread dedicated to them? I'm not the only one who likes to see personal photos of other member's frogs.

And again, I used the forum search feature, I just didn't read every single page. So as far as I know, I'm posting something totally different than other people, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Sorry if I seem jumpy, I just hate when people do this. Treat the newbies as if they know nothing. (it happens on this site, as well as others) Yes, I'm new to the site, but that doesn't mean I'm completley oblivious to things. I'm just trying to make a fun, new thread for us all to enjoy.

On another note, anyone care to share their photos?

Hi there,

My R. reticulatus are my favorite frogs. I don't find them any more difficult than the others I've got, but then again I haven't had to deal with their eggs or tads yet (unless they're hidden in the viv) either. I'm shoddy at taking pictures, but here are a few.

Female retic:

Unsexed subadult, hiding:

And a wee juvie on a brom, looking adorable:

They're all so fat. :P It's sort of ridiculous.

Best,
Ash
