Default my first viv 55 gallon(PIC HEAVY)

Hi everyone, Here's a few pics of my first viv. These first ones are before planting, but everything else is about done. I'll post some planted pictures tonight or tomorrow.

Oh and before anyone says anything... access under the false bottom is all blocked off, the filter blocks 95% of the hole and the rest is sealed of w/ moss, i don't think a fruit fly could even get under there.

Looks like a great start definitely needs plants though.

The background is great stuff; covered in grout; then painted w/ non toxic acrylic craft paint. The water has been running for about 2-3 weeks now w/ no sign of the background breaking down.

It's actually already planted i just haven't had a chance to post the pictures yet.... I have:
1 Korean rock fern
1 nerve plant (Fittonia, pink variety)
1 sensitive plant (mimosa pudica) Which is really cool but will probably get too big
4 Tillandsia (2 variety)
1 Unknown Bromelaid
Some creeping fig (oak leaf variety)
Some temperate moss that looks good now but from what i've read may die
and some tropical moss (the kind black jungle sells)
Also there are some clovers and things that were w/ a few of the plants... will probably die after awhile but oh well, just turns into more food for isopods and springtails

It's pretty full now so in a few months i'm sure it will be covered in plants and moss.

Any chance we could get an update? I am planning a GS/grout background and would love to see how this is doing. Also, did you do anything to neutralize the grout or is it not needed?
