Default My new 50Gal and my new 20Gal. large photos

so ive been working on the 20gal for awhile to make sure every thing work properly sence it was my first vert. the only other tanks ive built was 2 20gal long and i didnt have them vert. but the thing that i like most is my 50gal. its a oceanic (i think thats spelt right) and i got it for 70% off from petsmart. i made a false bottom and a double sided water fall with mini pools. all the plants and broms (beside pothos) came from Antone and the look great. the pics im posting are very bad but you can atlease see them. the window strait accross from the tank makes it alot of glare.

This is the from veiw of my 50gal. you can see in the middle i made a PVC pipe water fall going off in two directions. ending both in the front of the false bottom.

all the plants are actualy bright green with red in them. the pictures agin do no justice to those broms there great.

and finial my 20gal

the 20gal today finial got its frogs after about 1 month of being set up. its alittle berran and im hoping the plants will fill in more. im thinking of adding more plants but i dont want it to get to big to find babys. the frogs i put in there today was my red basti pair. right when they got in the male started calling and hasnt stop sence. im realy liking that hes calling so much. and the 50gal will get my red vents when its ready. i think about another 2 weeks maby 3. both tanks are going to get some riccia moss when it gets in the mail also.

what do yall think? any suggestions im open ears. and questions please let me know. thanks for looking -John

I like the 50 gallon especially. That waterfall with the seperate pools is pretty neat. Did you do that to have pools to raise tadpoles, or just for the cool look?
Are the PVC pipes connected under the false bottom? And then filled with small rocks?

the pcv are all seperated and are silicone to the bottom so they dont leak the water. i made pools for tapoles and for the frogs to soak in if the desire. i also made the left side get alot more water so that the right side is a gentle flow. im just hoping that the frogs dont drown in them :?

Thanks for the info.

I wouldn't worry about the frogs drowning. My Leucs like to get in the water from time to time.

Good thinking to make one side flow slowly, this gives them more options.
