Heres one of an imitator calling to a female. you cant see the frogs in the video but you can hear the male and get an idea of where there hanging out. they were far up off the ground.

This is just shot around a nice tree. You can get a good idea of how big and bueatiful it is. This was a very typical tree in the haditats we went to.

This is a cloud jungle habitat we visited . This place was great. Lots of broms and tilandsia all over. And I think this is the video that you can hear a bassleri calling very clearly.

Man I had no clue youtube was so freakin easy!!! If I had known I would have taken more video over there. Well I have more to come I cant wait to show them to you guys.

Did you just decide to take a vacation to that peruvian jungle? Whats the story behind it?

Like I said, Ill probaly feel really dumb for asking that ^.

In a way but not really. I had been looking into tropical tours that were designed for herpers for a little while off and on and just wasnt sure when and with who I was going to take the plunge UNTIL the well known Canadian frog breeder came out of the wood work offering his own tours of Peru (the best dark frog country in my mind). He was offering tours of the Peruvian jungle just for FROGS! When saw that for the frist time I almost shit my pants. I mean I love all herps but a tour that was going to zero in and focus on my favorate herp of all! So I knew that I was then going to Peru. It wasnt to long until I contacted mark and we set up a date to start my tour and we built on it from there. And when I say build I mean I was able to really build this trip. All I had to do was let Mark know what specific frogs and morphs of frogs I wanted to see and he organized a trip around the locations and habitats these frogs are located. He is totally open and willing to work with you and develop an expedition that unique to you. It is so easy going a laid back. Its more like just heading out into some of the most remote and beautiful frog rich country in the world with a buddy.
