I love the viv, where did you get that moss, and how did you get it to grow so successfully?

I have noticed a trend between East Coast azureus and West Coast azureus. Nice pics, nice frogs.

Here is a type I see out here in West all the time.

it was collected in GA. i try to collect from wet shady areas and the mosses i get usually last quite a while (as good as any ive purchased online) and a few even grow fairly decent. that moss has thickened up a bit, but i didnt really give it any room for growth when i do gt moss to grow weel, its under high light and high moisture, but not too wet. its a very fine line with all plants, but i think with moss the moisture line is real small. too much it drowns, not enough itr dries out. i jsut try different things with a lot of different species. one day ill find a way to grow one very well

its a pretty small viv, but i had all intentions of creating elevations. after seeing Mike's (defaced) 75 wit hall its glory and contour, i had to try and achieve something simlilar (albiet on a much smaller scale). im glad you commented on that, it makes me more confident that i was successful.

ive never noticed that before. ive always wanted and liked azureus, but didnt shop around too much. trhese are offspring produced by KEVIN S, who im teaming up wiht on a local (and web) businees right now, so i got these with an inside line  he got the parent as an unrelated pari from Pat Nabors.

heres one of them mom i believe. the other is much more of a regular spot, so Kevin is getting some offspring that favor both. i chose these two becaue theu were the fattes and had small spots. some of the others in the same littler were not as 'fine'.

good observation though, and ill be looking for it more.

oops forgot the pic
