Default exoterra...need suggestions

I just set up this tank and its awaiting frogs...need some suggestions on how to spruce it up a lil... the top of the tank feels a lil empty...

I dont want any major construction though..something simple...

How about some broms? Can't go wrong with them and 2 or 3 should fill in that space nicely.

take the brom. take a paper clip and unbend it until you have a u shaped bit and then just use that to hold the brom to the background. You just shove the clip into the foam, doesnt damage it or anything.

what about soil or anything to have the brom in. Should i stick the paperclip into the brom or just find a way to have it hold it there?

most Broms are epiphytic, they dont need soil and are perfectly happy to hang out on the background. If the brom has a nice stolon (woody part) then you can pierce it but the U shaped clips works well at holding the broms against the background. Eventually they'll grow roots to help anchor them. Heres a pic of some, if you look towards the bottom of the broms you can kind of see the paperclips holding them

broms....stick it right into the background. if you remove the silicone will pretty much snap back into place and you'll barely see a hole. i stick broms in and out of great stuff / silicone / cocofiber backgrounds all the time with no messy ugly problems.
