Default What do you prefer w/ FCA Vivs?

I'm ordering a some FCA tanks (again...last ones were stolen during shipping) and wondered if people prefer the black or clear sides?

Let me know.

I like the black sides. Not only is it cheaper, but it keeps rival males from going at it between tanks since they can't see each other. It's less stressful for them. Sorry to hear about the other ones getting stolen. How did it happen? You're getting a refund, right?

Default Refund.

They were stolen off my porch apparently...I'm skeptical they were ever delivered as I've never had stuff stolen and the driver couldn't remember what house for sure she delivered it to (went to another house to verify the delivery prior to coming to my house).

Paul and I have done our part w/ DHL, now we're waiting on a refund (hope they do it).

I'm getting 20" cubes w/ black sides.

I have both styles, but I'm not sure which I prefer. I kind of like the clear sides for viewing, but the black are nice for separation. I think I'll stick with black for now, it is a little easier to work with.

depends. Go for clear if you can. I have both types and I like the clear better. For shier frogs, definitely go with all clear.

I don't have the FCA tanks, but I like to keep my tanks all black on the sides when they are setup next to each other for 2 reasons... Keeps light in which makes the tank look nicer (IMO) and it keeps the inhabitants next door from seeing each other and fruitflies through the glass.

Another neat thing about having black all around is that since most PDFs are brightly colored, it creates a constrasting view which makes the animals stand out nicer.

Ever seen a fully done reef tank without a background and then seen another one with black all around the sides? Ever notice how the light stays in better and the corals seem more vibrant?

Right now I have 9 tanks, 6 clear and 3 black. I eventually want to set them up to have two clear tanks on the sides and one black tank in between. This still gives me the most viewing possible, but also eliminates any view between tanks.

It's personal preference. I like clear sides because I can see all the way around the tank to find my #$@# pumilio. She is always hiding in the broms that are in my FCA 20 inch cube.

Looking for a female 'Man Creek' pumilio. Prefer CB, will take WC if treated for parasites.
