long fingered frog not extinct

How cool is this, the frog has been thought to be extinct for 62 years...

Interesting, only thing i thought was a little crazy is first thing they do is take it home. haven't seen it for 50+ years and you take the only one you find.. i can see if they found a male and female and wanted to help breed to increase numbers.

any thoughts?
