Default Male Cepediana

This is my male Cepediana from Jeff at SGV Reptiles, hatched last July I think it was, he shows amazing colors but dulled up a little for these shots. He is not quite full grown yet, I expect it will take 4 or 5 more months, can't wait to see him then.

Yes got 2 Guimbeaui from Hawaii that turned into 2 males, before I could get more cages 1 killed the other. Jeff found me a nice female and shipped it with the Cepediana, it has 2 big calcium pouches up by her jaws which is nice considering I did not see her for 2 months after I put her in with the male, I thought he had killed her as well. The male of that pair is really stunning and huge but too flighty to get a picture of unless I try and catch it...which I don't think I want to do. The Cepediana actually jumped out of cage this AM when I was changing some little feeding caps (juice bottle tops for fruit or gecko mixture), he settled down quickly and after going on my back ended up on my sons hands where I got a couple quick pics before putting him back in the cage. Maybe this summer I will look for a female for him.

Day Geckos are one of my favorite herps and in fact the first reptile I ever bred. I have a special place for day geckos. That cepediama looks great! Hmmm makes me think about getting back into breeding them.....yeah like I need more vivs in my house.

Really nice! Our robertmertensi have laid one clutch so far, and they have to be my favorite species so far. Great personalities and they readily eat from our hands.

Good luck they are a more challenging day gecko though but they are probably the coolest next to klemmeri
