Default Finger lickin' good!!

Last night, while I was tending to my collection, I had a surprising encounter with one of my frogs...my female azureus. I had just fed my collection and was clipping a section of an unknown philodendron I have growing in my azureus viv. The pair of azureus that reside in this viv, seemed to care less that my hand was mere inches away froim them, working the roots of this plant before cutting it. I called over to my wife so that she could witness how bold these guys are and just as we both looked back into the viv, the female azureus was about an inch from the tip of one of my dangling fingers, with her gaze fixed as though she were going to hop onto my hand and make her 'grand escape. What happened next took my by surprise as I have never experienced this with my frogs. I assume she mistook the tip of my finger as a giant fruitfly...she smacked my finger tip with her tongue!! The feeling was awesome and powerful for such a tiny tongue. My wife and I both dropped our jaws as our eyes got as big as saucers. Now, I've had my share of hungry, feeding frogs hop onto my hand and continue their toe twitching but never have I experienced being struck by the tongue of one of them!! Just thought I'd dhare this interesting story with you guys/gals!!!

My terribilis do this too, but if you've ever seen a terribilis eat, they don't really flick out their tongue, they lunge and bite at it. They have done this several times to my hand. Its really funny. And if your not careful in our powder blue tank, they will jump right into the cup that I'm dumping the dusted flies out of.
