Default Blue Phase Scotts

I know a lot of you are into salt water,I had been looking for a blue phase (Cook Island) Scott's Fairy Wrasse for along time, and yesterday I stopped in my local fish store for some Mysis and boom there one was. The owner smiled and said he was wondering if i would stop in before someone else bought it, of all the fairy wrasses in my tank the only one that rivals it is my Seychelles (P Attenuatus) flasher wrasse. Not sure how the dynamics will end up, it is the 6th fairy wrasse in my 125, so far all seems good. Wish I could post some pics, this may force me to leap frog into this century digital wise.

That's also known as the Austrailian Scott's Fairy Wrasse. They are super cool, but if you don't keep them with a harem the male will eventually lose it's spot. Even without the spot they are really neat fish. Wrasses are our favorite.

We've had a Hawaiin Flame, Goldenback, flasher, social and possum wrasse.

Congrats on the find!

Default Scott's

Isn't the Australian the green morph? From what I have read the Fiji and Australian are green and the Cook island is blue, I may not know crap on this subject however, but I love to read about the stuff. Currently I have 3 flasher P Attenuatus, McCoskeri & Angulatus (all bought for $20 each as Carpenter's) and C Rhomboidalus, Rubrisquamis and Scottorum. I would love to get a Hawiian Flame but have not seen one for a while and at this point realize one more would probably be 1 too many. I also have a Mitratus B-fly, Golden dwarf (Aurentia) angel, 2 Yashia gobies and 3 L Swalesi basslets. The community seems pretty harmonius even with the new addition except for the P Angulatus, it has purple fins like the Rubrisquamis which is much larger and seem to be a target of said fish.

Shoot, I may have flipped them around myself. It's been a while since I researched them. We were seriously interested, but ended up going with the Hawaiian and Goldenback.

Nice score on the flashers. I've only seen the Carpenter's locally and the Yasha gobies are the MOST ADORABLE fish! I love them!

Either way you can't go wrong. On my "most wanted list" is the peppermint hog

Default Scotts

I had a peppermint hog but it jumped out, it actually knocked the plastic piece connected to the glass top out of place, expensive loss. I have since secured so none of the wrasses do the same.
I may sell part of my frog collection if I ever see the sunrise hog (B. Sanguinsis) offered again - $1000+.

Well we lost both our hawaiian and goldenback to jumping through the eggcrate. Not horribly expensive, but it does hurt losing a $100 fish a piece.
