Holiday Gifts

Hey guys,

Curious if anyone got some cool frogs/frog related gifts for the holidays? I got a few sweet books:







As well as some cash to boost some of my projects, more frogs, etc. Oh, and spiral notebooks for terrarium drawings (thanks for the idea, Ben). This has been the biggest christmas that I've had in a long time, good tiems with family.[/img]

The Illistrated Atlas is ok on dart frogs but a great way of overcoming the Pet Trade common name to find good info on care. I am getting the new book from Gremany Professional Breeders Series: Poison Frogs by Henkel and Schmidt from my girlfriend. I also got money from both my grandmothers.

I got mostly cash, which I am using for some frogs in a couple of weeks

I got a 30gallon cube tank, some cocos panels, and one of those dart frog color change t-shirts from vivarium concepts. Also some frog/rainforest related books and a calander. My mom also had my uncle( professional photographer) come over a few weeks ago while I was at school and he took pics of my frogs and my mom put them in frames.They are great shots. I also am getting a female cobalt from Patrick, ( my gift to myself), hopefully he will ship this coming week. I'm off to my grandmas now so we'll have to see what else the day has to give. I have the one on African amphibians, but I think it's a bit choppy for some countries and not as complete as I would have hoped, but still the best book for that region I've seen.

As for gifts, I got a new sleeping bag that will fit into a nalgene bottle (weighing at just a pound), and a 4 lb hammock tent. My pack is now half the weight from before.

I got Jewels of the Rainforest- Poison Frogs of the family Dendrobatidae by Walls

A calendar and some money that I plan on using to get some inserts for my new 10 gal verts I need to make.

Got $20 from PETCO, $20 from Home Depot, $50 bucks in general from my family, $50 from my aunt/ uncle in Connecticut, plus clothes, frog gifts/shirts, and my beloved, FROGS 2005 by Firefly books. Hands down, this is the BEST frog calender. I have posted a few pics from them before. This year, they have a picture of Heterixalus alboguttatus and a red form of M. aurantiaca!

Oh yeah, got some music books and guitar related stuff. Forgot to add Wah wah pedal to things, but that is ok. Also got Return of the King. My mom goes hog wild at X-mas. I appreciate all the gifts, but all the stress, commotion at work (Oh god, I work at a grocery store!), buying, cleaning, etc.......I'm so glad we're done and I can enjoy things! Looking forward to this winter break, as I don't go back to college until Jan. 17, so I can finish my vivariums.....unless I decide to make more! :lol:

my parents surprised me with jewels of the rainforest, which is really sweet. that book has some great pictures of darts, and there are some species that I haven't gotten to see a good picture of before. I should also be receiving a couple intermedius in the next week, weather willing. very excited about getting those little froggies.

Jewels of the Rainforest- Poison Frogs of the family Dendrobatidae also, i absolutly love it! Also got some books on orchids and some gift certificates to a greenhouse near me that sells mainly orchids. My cousing gave me this guide to MN Reptiles and Amphibians which comes with a CD to help you identify the calls. Also got a frog calender.
