Default This frog scared the crap out of me

I was sitting here on my computer sending ebay invoices for stuff closing tonight, and something jumped on me and scared me! It was a HUGE frog, and I have no idea how it got in the house. I can see how someone who is not a frog person could get a phobia of them if they jump out of nowhere at you like that! SHEESH!

How big is that bugger? Tis a bullfrog...and quite an unusual happening for it to come into your house. They seldom stray from water as adults...though juveniles will migrate up to a mile or so overland. I've only seen a bullfrog(youngun) in a place where I had no idea where the nearest body of water was once...and it was using a mud puddle.

It's not what I've been calling a bullfrog, but you are the second person to say that, so maybe I've been wrong. We have a different kind of toad around here that I have been calling a bullfrog. Now I'm going to have to try to get a pic of it to compare and see what you guys think.

We have an air conditioner that drips into a flower bed right outside the front door and makes a constant puddle. It is a perfect place for frogs, and they are usually there at night. However, my door was not left open, so how it got in, I don't know. I just know that it jumped on me and just about gave me a heart attack.

It was about 3-4 inches long.
