I hear David Lee Roth is going to tour with Van Halen this summer. That would have been a huge half time performance.

Whereas I agree with you - this is also the problem.

The 80's ?!?

Prince isn't the Stones - he doesn't have the cache or staying power.

I agree prince is definetely not the stones, I would personally rather see Black Sabbath or ACDC play. I do however think that prince is on his way to a half way comeback and if not who cares, he has had a good career.

Prince is a strange dude but also one of the most talented artists of our time. Not to everyone's taste and I have to admit I admire his talent while wondering about his erratic nature. Nevertheless the man can play guitar. Botched covers? With the exception of Jimi, none of the guitarists in the bands he covered can even begin to approach his skill with the axe.

Scott I had to smile at your mention of the Stones. They'll play Superbowl 50 but they'll have to be rolled out in wheelchairs and have on call nurses attending them while on stage. Let's hope Keith Richards can avoid falling out of trees (or bed for that matter) over the next few years.

See, now were talking, if were gonna go 80s might as well make it good, although something tells me network stations like Fox would probably be a little too conservative for Sabbath...even this day.

Prince as mentioned can be a bit odd, but is one of the best living rock talents. He is also one of the best living guitar players. Remember he was almost unknown for years as he got screwed by his record company.

Now with that said I'm sure I will be waiting in line to see Vahn Halen when they come around...

unfortunately he can't seem to get the song right though (though I have to agree he is extremely talented)

Prince was awsome!!!
I was just disapointed that he wasn't wearing his assless chaps. :P

Now I have to wait and count the days until Van Halen sets a day and tickets go on sale for their Seattle show. I was one year too late to Diamond David Lee Roth back in the mid 80's. I better get tickets to this show. I am just hoping that they have another good act with them. I hear AC/DC is putting the finishing touches on their new album.

Later,
Brad

Remember these guy`s (Van Halen) hate each other with a passion. It will be curious to see if they even finish the tour. John
