Default Aquarium of the Americas - New Orleans, LA.

I took a trip down the the New Orleans Aquarium for the 1st time in a while. The place is lookg pretty good, although some exhibits are still down from Katrina. Here are the photos I took during the trip. The lighting was not the best - real dim on most of the tanks. The only decent lit tank there was a reef tank. I tried to make the best of it all as I had no idea what to expect. I only brought the 105mm also. :\ All were shot with ISO1600, except the last photo.

Unknown fish - about 1' long and real smooth.

Did Katrina wipe out the dart frog exhibit? I remeber there being one when I lived in the states. It sparked my interest in darts!

Nikon D50 When I was there, they had about 4 15gal. tanks with various toads. I'm not sure however, if Katrina completely wiped out the frog exhibit. I did see that a new exhibit was opening about otters, and I'm pretty sure that's whats replacing the whole frog exhibit. Such a tragedy...

This reminds me, I've got some pics from the Atlanta aquarium. Do you mind if I add them?

For the "Large" tank, what ISO/Shutter/Aperature setting were used? That pic is so cool!

I just went to the NAIB last week, but of course I didnt think to bring a camera. It was great, it seemed like we came upon every exhibit during feed time and got to see a bunch of neat things. It was also the least crowded i have ever seen, which made it that much more enjoyable.
