COLOR ME FROG.FROG ON THE CAVAS GUIDING AN ARTIST'S STROKE

I'm an artist but as of yet don't make a living this way. I've had my work critiqued by international artist whom responded by asking me if I illustrated for any books or magazines. I said no. Well, they obviously loved my work and said I have what it takes and that I should persue this.They said I have a gift.
I am currently underway to get a nice set of coloring pencils of every possible shade..
I thought about utilizing my empathy and hugh passion about herpetology and incorporating that into my art. Eventually, I hope to do books, etc.
Do any of you think this could or would be feasable?

That sounds great. My mom now is illustrating a childrens book and wrote and illustrated her own little one. So did they give you a contract/job?

No, not quite yet. I'm probably going to get with a literary agent and attempt my hands with a some literature I've tried my hands at for the last few years along with my own illustrations.
previously, I got with a lady who was getting ready to publish a book. But that deal between her and I fell through. I don't even think that she published her book.
It's probably a matter of running into the right person at the right time. Marketing a product can be challenging without some sort of reputable endorser or someone to help fund the cost and get the product out there..
