Default San Diego area.

Hello, I noticed a few people on here live in the S.D. area and I was wondering if anyone can give me some names of people, places etc that sell darts. I have been to LLL several times but, that is the only place I know of that has them. I am about an hours drive from S.D. (I am in the Corona area) and just can't seem to find local folks with PDF's. Any info. would be appreiciated.

Thank you

As far as commercial, besides LLL, there's Amazon Reptile Center north of you in Montclair.

San Diego area hobbyists that sell reguarly are Dane Thaanum of junglebox.net and Thomas Villegas of pumilio.com.

Hope this helps.

Pet Kingdom (San Diego/ Ocean Beach area) has had a variety of PDF's the last couple months, they are rather pricey for the animals though.

Thanks guys. I forgot about Amazon, I got my painted Mantella from there months ago but haven't been back to see what's new. I did go to the reptile show in S.D. and I plan on going to the Pomona one this month. Wish Calif. had shows like IAD...

Since your both in the San Diego area, I thought I'd mention the SCADS (Southern CAlifornia Dendrobates Society) group. We're having our 6th meeting tomorrow. It's a good chance to meet Southern California frog enthusiasts. We typically meet at someone's house, check out their vivs, do a little trading/selling. Tomorrow for a change of pace, we're going to tour my father-in-law's tropical garden. New hobbyists are always welcome. Hope you can make a meeting sometime.

Jeff, thank you for the invite. It sounds great however, I am heading to Orange County Sunday for mothers day. Is there a newsletter or website that I can keep an eye on for meetings? I have never been to any frog organizations before and I am new to the PDF arena. I have nothing to offer anyone if I were to go to a meeting, is this ok?

We use the Regional Group Announcements area of the board to announce our meetings, and keep in touch.

Absolutely, we've had enthusiasts come that we're just getting started. Trading/selling is not the main function of the group, we just want to learn from each other and get inspired.

Thanks again. I will keep an eye on that section. It sounds really neat. I really don't have anyone to talk frogs with and most people think I'm
nuts to even have them. Until they see them then suddenly frogs are cool Hahaha.
