My ATBs are not what I would call tame (like commonly seen in some boas, or ball pythons) but once I get them out of the cage they are okay to handle if you are careful (regardless do not let them close to your face (ask Justin Yeager about that sometime)).
In cage, they have a fierce feeding reaction and are a little on the agressive side, but nothing like the wcs I used to see when I was working in the pet trade in the late 1980s.

I have two females that went off feed and are showing some interesting basking behaviors. Could be babies could be nothing...
