Default heat pack

Is there any local place that would sell heat packs? Would the shipper sell them or am I better off ordering them?

Didn't know that.

Should I be surprised, ha.

Thanks Josh.

Be careful of WalMart heat packs?

I am honestly not sure - but are the "hunters" heat packs the same as those used in our hobby?

Scott,

My understanding is that 'hunters' heat packs tend to burn hotter (read reach max heat output in a shorter time frame) and shorter than heat packs used in shipping. I suppose it would all come down to what heat pack was being purchased and how much coverage you wanted to obtain - I believe most people ship using the 40 hour heat packs.

Here's a thread that sheds some light on the Walmart packs.
