Default Ventral face tinctorius

Hi,

What are you thinking about that?

It's a D. tinctorius CB, around 10 months.

The frog lives normally. Just (a little) less active, and (a little) less fat?

Just irritation? Bacterial infection?

Is your tank overly wet? Looks like an infection, either bacterial or fungal, from overly wet substrate

While I think Bill is correct, a lack of dead animals isn't proof that your collection is free of chytrid. Chytrid is only lethal to frogs if the temperatures are below 75 F (and the frog can't regulate it's temperature by say climbing up closer to the lights).

Yes you are right.

But I think, (but I maybe i'm wrong) that if I had chytrid in my installation, I would have miscellaneous small bad signs. Isn't it ?

There my couples sems to be in good health, breed very well in this moment, no mortality in the adults, no mortality in the young either.
And I sold many animals and people have no specially mortality either (of course, except accidents, domination, etc..). With the stress of the moving, if I had the chytrid, I think that there would have been a little of mortality.

To answer about my terrarium, it is not really wet, I alternate the wet and dry period. Sometines very wet, sometines dry.

I am going to dry it a little and to treat with F10 and baytril (in case of bacterial infection).

Regards

Ps: At the moment, in France, I had not found a laboratory which can make me tests PCR. But I am following a lead for that with a new laboratory.

.
Not really.. if the frogs are able to regulate thier body temperature to above 75 F, then at best you might see some retained shed skin on the ventral surface of the frog but that isn't guaranteed to happen. It is very possible to have it in the enclosure and not have any symptoms at all until something happens to drop the temperatures below 75 F long enough for the fungus to kill the frog.
