I am gathering opinions as to what morphs these frogs are. Let me know what some of you think, and I will post some facts about them later.

Are they both adults? If so, the one on the right looks like it could be a cobalt tinc and the other maybe a dwarf french guyana. The thing about determining tinc morphs is some look very close in appearance and they are somewhat variable in apperance within each morph. You might try marcus's website tropical experience-nl, or contact the person that you got them from originally. Good Luck

well here's the scoop...they are both froglets maybe 4-5 weeks apart. but from the same parents!!! has any one else ever seen this. they are from two normal suriname cobalt parents that have some of these light phased cobalts about every other batch.

I have seen high variability in tincs offspring before, I used to have coblats who's offspring would vary in both amounts of yellow and hue.

yes but to that extreme, some of these could be mistaken for oyapoks.

What are you feeding the tads and are you communally rearing them?
(as diet can have an effect and competition for food).

Well, the big question is did you get the parents from a reputably breeder or from a reseller?

all my tads get fed tetra spirulina and algae that grows in the tanks, I have reared the tads communaly and individually and seem to get the same results. I am almost possitive this morph is genetic, I am just wondering if its common in surinam cobalts or if its something more unusual.

I also got the from a pretty big frog breeder in Florida, all I know for sure is that my breeders parents looked like regular old suriname cobalts.
