Default my luec need voice lessons

Well i was curios and played a leuc call for my group and 2 seamed really interested and one looked like (he) tried to mimic the call and made no noise. however he did puff his sides and "shake" like he knew what he was doing. Dose it sound like i have a male just too young to call? the oldest are 5 months oow and youngest i would say 2-4 months oow

I have absolutely no experience with a calling Leuc, so take this for what you will, but...

If they're anything like Terribilis, they will get louder as they get older. The first time I heard my male was when he was 10 months old. The electric was out, no one was home, and it was extremely quiet in the house. I was on the floor about two to three feet from the tank working on something frog-related when suddenly, I thought I could the hear crickets outside. But something didn't seem quite right. I stopped what I was doing, looked around, and thought..."No way!" Sure enough, it was coming from the little guys tank! You would not believe how extremely happy that made me!

That was over four months ago...now, I can sometimes hear him in the next room with the TV on. It still makes me smile the few times every day that I hear him and I have to stop what I'm doing for a second and just look and listen. Greatest sound in the world!

I've had a pair of juvenile Leucs for about 4 months now and the smaller one I assume is a male is the only one that responds when I play a call. He quickly looks around like who's ass do I have to kick then goes about his way. One day I caught "him" on top of the coco hut and it looked as if he was trying to call but couldn't. I've been curious if there vocal sac needs time to develop.

Does playing calls to them kick them into breeding as adults? Not just the leucs but others?

From my experience with Tincs, my single pair of Terribilis, and an Imi pair (which I no longer have)...no. The females seem to take longer to be ready for breeding. If they're not ready, the calls will make no difference at all. I've never even gotten a calling adult male Tinc to respond to a call. However, my Terribilis male and the Imi male I had will start calling back after a few minutes.

Actually, there are a few good ones on YouTube...
Leucs...
Imitator...
Terribilis...
Tincs (both are Azureus but should work for any Tinc)...

There also are some here, but they're very short...
