Judy, I get mine from an eBay seller. Here is his ebay page eBay My World - oem2000 and here is a link to the 4 packs of fans I get from him NMB 2410ML-04W-B40 FAN 12VDC 60mm x 60mm x 25mm LOT/4EA | eBay This is the exact fan that I've been using 2410ML-04W-B40 - DC Axial Fans - NMB Technologies Corporation
Hooking them up is no big deal. If you hook them up wrong, they either won't turn at all, or they will turn the wrong way. No sparks will fly. Switch the wires the other way and you are good to go. About the only way you can screw this up is to stick both ends of the wires up your nose! We are only talking about 12 volts here so it's a very safe voltage to be working with.

I don't use a controller. You'd want to talk to James about that. I simply wire straight into an adjustable voltage AC adapter. I've been using this one 20W Digital Universal AC Adapter China (Mainland) Power Supplies because I got a good deal on them on eBay. It's adjustable from 3v to 12v so I just turn the switch down to lower the voltage and that turns the fans speed down. It is a 1.8-2 amp model and my fans are .22 amps each. I can safely run 7 of these off one adapter. (.22 amps fan draw x 7 fans = 1.54 amps drawn. 1.54 amps drawn + 10% for safety = 1.694 which is still below the 1.8-2.0 rated amperage.)

Here's a nice price for a cheap one that would power a few fans (depending on the fan you chose). It would run 4 of my fans. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dynex-Univer...item3cc1bd1982

If i do one fan per viv i could run my entire rack that i have now off of the one your using. I only have 6 vivs. 2-22.5x17x20s and 4-11.5x17x20s. Well im building these now to get a better rack look. Do you have vents on the vivs you have fans on or are they solid glass tops?

They are vented. I use passive vents and recirculation fans. Not all my vivs have fans yet but I'll get there.
