is this behavior anything to be concerned about?

I have a pair of adult tinc cobalts I picked up from show around 2 years of age supposidly proven pair etc...etc.. picked up about 3 weeks ago.

I may just be overly concerned but I noticed the one that is the Male seems to hide a lot more than the female. Some times they stay together if the but I have rarely seen the male out.

For the first week or so when I fed once I got out of distance I could see the male come out and eat. I still see him eat but not nearly as much as the female does.

I noticed he lays down a lot. Not as active as the Female.

he was staying in the cocohut a lot and I had a petri dish with water in there so they had a spot to deposit tads if they happend to lay eggs I was unaware of (me being optomistic) but the female uses it for a bath most of the time she is found soaking in this dish a lot.

However I keep my humidity around 90% I got a cool mist humidifier that goes off on a regular basis.

Any thoughts or concerns? Just to add they both seem healthy the male is slimmer than the female but both are fat.

Same "problem" here - female is active, while male is mostly hiding.

I fed this morning walked away came back seen the male out and about feeding so at least he still has appetite he just doesn't seem to have the spunk about him most usually do

You don't need water in the petri dish for them to lay eggs. They take care of the moisture level in there.

What are your temps?

This happens allot with my vittatus the female is the only one I see out in the tank and the only one that eats first the male gets the leftovers.

Temps tend to stay around 74-76 at night drop to around 70

Did you quarantine them and do a fecal? That would have eliminated a lot of what ifs.

Just going over the usual-

Dusting your flies with vitamin and calcium that's less than 6 months old?
No visible aggression between male and female?

Have you seen any courting behaviors?

Just watch for weight loss and if that does begin to happen (not when hes already very thin) separate them and feed him separately to see if he improves.

Someone else may chime in on thoughts.

Soaking in water is usually a sign they are trying to rid themselves of something, eating is a very good sign. As Angela mentioned get them checked, moving them into your tank when you acquired them may have caused parasites to flair up, even if CB.
