Default alternate food sources (other than crickets)

I like to vary my frogs diets and I was wondering if anyone has some suggestions for some alternate food sources. I have tried a couple and most I have found to be annoying to work with. Please post your suggestions and good sources for buying these other foods. I am especially interested in a good source for lesser wax worms. Thanks!!!

Dont know if you have tried them, but my frogs love termites, that requires going out and catching them but its a good food source and worth it if you can find a big coloney. Thats the only way to get them though cause no one sells them. I think it may be illegal to ship them across state lines.

Tried springtails? They are great...what about tropical isopods? Amphipods of some sort? They all work great...

Default frog food

Do you guys know of a good source for alterante foods like the ones you have mentioned. I would like to find someone that I can buy springtails, lesser wax worms, isopods, etc.. As far as termites, I think they are a bit harder to find in PA than in the South or Pacific Northwest, but I could be wrong. Any help in the matter is greatly appreciated.

They are two REALY good quality feeder insect suppliers and breeders. I dont remember if eds sells isopods or not, but i am pretty sure they do.

i can find termites out here on the halfway desert plains of northeastern Montana, not common but they are here. with some looking you should be able to find termites in PA. if you can get sowbugs(isopods) started and breeding their babies make a good food source. you can buy them from one of those places or go out and find a bunch and start your own. they are extreamly common under boards and rocks where the soil is cool and slightly damp.

If you were to put sow bugs in a 10 gallon how many should you put in and how long would it take for them to start breeding

not sure. when i find them flipping over rocks and such they seem to tollerate fairly high population densities. i think it would be hard to over fill a 10 gall tank if you have plenty of cork pieces or the like for them to hide under. i added some to my frog tanks and occationally see them cruising around during the day in the open.
