Default hybrids

yeah yeah i know no one agrees with hybrid PDF's and neither do i and i would never purposely make a PDF hybrid, but surely if many of the PDF's are so closely related that they can freely interbreed then their must be occasional hybridisations that occur in the wild so what is the difference between having a hybrid in your home vivariums and there being naturaly occuring hybrids in the wild. I again state that i would not try to breed a hybrid or purchase a hybrid.

This topic has been discussed thoroughly before (read: beaten to death). However, I will reply to your thought of hybridization occuring in the wild. Most species are geographically separated, so they can not hybridize. Moreover, there is a visual mate selection that takes place that also prevents it. I have never seen a hybrid in the wild, nor heard of one taking place within Dendrobatids. There is one naturally occuring snake hybrid here in Ecuador, but that is another story.
