Default remember the ad on kingsnake with the darts from africa

The same guy who posted the ad that had a stolen pic of a histrionicus and advertising it as a red auratus from africa has just posted an ad with the supposed largest marine toads that have come into the US. he says one is 3lbs. and the other is over 2 lbs.

well if you look further down the page there is another ad for marine toads with the same exact pics he has on his, but this ad says the largest toad is 2.5lbs not 3.

I sent the guy an e-mail telling him to straighten up, but I don't think he'll be bright enough to take the advise, since I am sure I am not the only on who has cotacted him.

I also noticed the listing of a critically endangered Agalychnis moreletii. I'm assuming that they are CB or long-term captive adults. Anyone know if these have been in the trade? If they are legit too bad I spent so much on thumbs lately

Paul, didn't mean to go off subject, just thought this was interesting if people were going to check out the ads.

I don't know the origins of those moreleti, but they have been in the hobby before. About 6-7 years ago there were a few people breeding them along with spurrelli and annae. There's a lot of stuff that floats around unbeknownst to most hobbyists...

This is the third time I have been just about ready to buy from this guy, and every time I dig a little deeper I find something that just doesn't smell right. I sent him an e-mail about the toads and after he accused me of poking my nose in someone elses business, he replied with "myself and the other company that had them for sale are brokers for zoological imports 2000" (in other words, just trying to make a quick buck). and what happens if different customers send both of these "brokers" money. who gets the toads? or what if zoological imporst has a walk in that buys them.

Sounds to me like this guy saw these toads at Zoological and figured he'd see how much he could get for them on Kingsnake, and if someone was dumb enough to send him a check he would go pick up the toads for $25 a piece and ship them out.

Not really a scam, but it's just funny how you find a pair of toads your about to order and further down the page you see the exact same photos of the exact same pair of toads with different facts and different prices.

I am half tempted to make a small order from this guy, just to see how bad it really is.

I get alot of whoelsale lists, and I am amazed when someone has basically cut and pasted the list of animals available on the wholesale lists and bumps up the price a little. There are a couple of people doing this on kingsnake. I doubt they even have the animals in stock but instead test to see what is selling.

I was going to order a group of red eyes, but the dealer stopped replying after my third email with questions. He advertised having a large number in stock but when I requested a specific number and sex ratio, he acted funny. I doubt he actually had them.
