Default D. imitator

I am in the process of acquiring my first "thumbnails". Their enclosure is currently being constructed, and consists of a 10g vertical tank that will have a cork bark/great stuff-cocofiber background, and will be heavily planted with broms (from Ken at PeaceoftheTropics). I have decided to go with D. imitator. My question is in regards to how many I should house in the tank? I know some suggest 2, while others have had success with trios in vertical 10s. Any opinions or suggestions? Thanks in advance. - Oz

A 2.5 gallon aquarium vert i repeat 2.5 isnt that way to cramped unless it was practically overly planted with a zillion hiding spots. Not trying to be mean at all in facte i am inspired to try a vert 5 gal with a thumb specie

I have 3 imitators in a 15 gallon high that is heavily planted and all seem to be doing well. Plenty of places to hang out and hide if they want though they tend to be pretty visible throughout the day. Given that 2 of them tend to stay very close to one another I suspect that we will end up with a 1.2 or 2.1 trio. But then again I could be mistaken.

I had them up in an old post. It the plants have grown on a lot. I do not get were people think they will be cramped. They are doing well. They are calling and are fat. I had two in one tank and seperated one in another tank. I just put all three together.
