The Crypts are good where they are, but I'd mount the Neo 'Fireball' to the background, or at least to the top of that driftwood to get it off the substrate.

ok, treat me like im an idiot, (because i am ) what are crypts (besides a gang in L.A.)

and would it be bad to leave the pink one on the substrate?

to mount it, do i just need to punch a hole large enough to wedge the stem in, and thats it?

Crypts are short for cryptocoryne (I believe it's spelled, Jason correct me if I'm wrong). The pink one (neo. fireball) can be wedged in a hole, or tied to the driftwood or otherwise affixed the the background. I'd say your planting levels are pretty good though.

Actually in this case Crypt would mean cryptanthus, not cryptocoryne, which is an aquatic, or marginal. Cryptanthus are a type of bromeliad.

I dont think you are over planted at all. I would second moving the neo. though.
