I'm over run with frogs right now. 1st because I didn't want to ship during the cold weather from winter and then because of school, moving, and getting ready to get married etc. etc. (I'm lazy too) So I'm thinking about just trying to sell a lot of them wholesale. What do most of ya'll charge places for wholesale (if you don't mind my asking)?
PS- why can't more people in south Fl be interested in darts :x ? Up north these suckers would be gone by now.
I have seen on Kingsnake.com under the classifieds people wanting to purchase darts wholesale. I don't know anything about who they are or what they do with them, but it might be an option for you. If you decide to go this route, I would definitly check them out first and see what their intentions are.

Yeah, that's one of the places I've seen them. I've actually already got a few PM's about them from some reliable people here, so I think I'm good. Thanks.
I have sold some to BJ, generally for 1/2 or so. Some offer better deals for credit, than cash. I think you cant expect more than 1/3rd to 1/2 of retail pricing....
Shawn is about right on the money...most things that get resold, from t-shirts, to animals, get bought at somewhere around 1/2 the cost.
I've wholesaled a couple of times for around the 1/2 mark
ditto on the 1/3 to 1/2 but with wholesale prices come wholesale number , you can require a fair number of frogs for said price , but the bigger the number the lower the price. example veild cham sold in pet shops for around60- 80 here in vancouver bc 1998 , i sold 50 lots of 2 month old babys at 15 each , i sold 100 at 10 each.at those prices i could move 4 or 5 thousand a year.

edit . 2 levels of wholesale too , one direct to stores slightly higher prices but low numbers , the other to large wholesalers that supply the pet stores , much lower prices but very large numbers can be sold
With the increases in shipping costs, I really see this as the direction of the hobby. You may also want to visit a reptile show in your area and talk to a few of the vendors who may want to take them off your hands.
Half of retail is what we do, but we require seeing the frogs in person or through pictures. There are hobbiests I would take their frogs from whenever they have some available (one who posted on this thread...) and others I wouldn't get within a few feet of.
There are a couple of things you can do to keep from getting overwhelmed with froglets and improve the quality of the frogs at the same time. Cut down your feeding of tadpoles to once a week & keep the water temps at room temp (68-72) and they will grow slower, but morph out much bigger. We do this during the winter and we morph out frogs larger than most are selling them at.
Thanks for the info guys, that's about what I figured. Wish I had more room for all these guys, not to mention time. Lol, I couldn't imagine trying to sell that many chameleons a year, or the space needed.
Just wanted to say thanks to everybody that replied on here or sent me PM's (never expected so many replies) and that the frogs are all sold.
Josh- wish I had the room at my place to try that with the tads but my frogroom is pretty cramped so I raise them communally, which wouldn't work so well with once a week feeding.
