Default Foot Splashing

So i need to to know of others experiences with splashing feet at waters edge...
Recently saw a pair of Red vents splashing rear feet in water and i wanna know if that means they have tads in water, my water source is quite large and broken up in this tank, 50% land,50% water, And i can not see tads anywhere, but am afraid to drain to much because of this concern.
Friend of mine witnessed his Imitators doing same and his belief was for tads.
Anyone else???

I see my Azureus female "sit" with rear-end in the water when she seems to be looking to lay a clutch.

i used to have a pair of wild caught cobalts that would do the same only when they were looking to defecate.
